The Consultation on Common Texts (CCT)
is an ecumenical consultation of liturgical
scholars and denominational representatives from the United States and
Canada, who produce liturgical texts for common use by North American
Christian churches.
A noted work of the CCT is the 1992
Revised Common Lectionary (RCL), a
collection of readings from the Bible arranged and intended for
proclamation during the worship of the people of God. In 2005
the CCT published Revised
Common Lectionary Daily Readings, providing a schedule of daily
lessons related to the RCL.
The CCT originated in the mid-1960's as a forum for
consultation on worship renewal among many Christian churches in the
United States and Canada. Read more about the
history of the CCT or its
member church bodies.

Reclaiming Advent for Time to Come
1-4 p.m., March 26, 2012
Riverside Drive, New York City
The Advent Project Seminar in the North American Academy of Liturgy
presents this year's free-of-charge Forum sponsored by the CCT. The
forum concerns society's "Christmas culture" and whether the
Church's observance of Advent is simply a ramp up to
Christmas or, in an expanded form, a call to rediscover something
vital to its life and mission. Register
